ok ok let me explain my hair to everyone. I had the same style you know, up in front, since I was a senior in high school. So last time I home I decided to try a different look and go with the messy look. But it always looked like shit, and my girl said she liked it longer better than the old way so I decided to let it grow. I havent updated in a long time, so it looks quite different. I don"t really like it, but people here seem to like it. Anyway you guys win. I will get it cut on Sunday. I wanted to cut it anyway but it costs over 30 dollars for a haircut, so i just skipped a few months

Haha i guess people don't like the new hairstyle. People say it looks asian, but I am in Asia sooooo. But anyway it looks better in person, or at least the Japanese seem to like it

Anyway I haven't updated in a long time. It is pretty hot here. Not as hot as back home but at home there is AC everywhere.

Last weekend one of my old students had a "somen party." I didnt know what somen was but its basically just noodles. In the summer they eat it cold. At home if people eat it, usually they just put cooked noodles into ice water, and then dip the noodles into soy sauce.

If they go outside to eat it, the noodles are put into a bamboo slide, and you have to catch the noodles with your chopsticks.

Here are some pictures to better understand

My student's husband built everything. Its quite impressive actually. He even built the roof so there was better shade.

This is the new teacher who took over at my old school. Good kid but strange as hell. He is from England so at the party people broke many social rules by asking our opinions about politics. Needless to say it had its akward moments.

This is everyone. My student is the one in the striped green shirt. The other people are her friends, family, and husbands employees.

last picture here is of the younger girls, with their grandfather. He was kind of funny. When he introduced me he said he used to be in the war, and he spent all his time with the horses. He said when he was younger he had a round face but after being with the horses, it became long.

Well moved into the new apartment yesterday. Didnt start off too good, casue I didnt have any water, and I couldnt find the valve in the apartment to turn it on. So I couldnt take a shower or use the bathroom. But my gf called the water company, and got it all straightened out, so now I am slowly unpacking.

Tomorrow is first day at the new school, met a few students yesterday at a school event. Hopefully things go well.

It is so much nicer living in a more urban area. I dont see any rice fields anymore so thats a plus.

-Edit-

Didnt realize it but i had no gas in the apartment either. So after I got the water fixed I had no hot water. But finally everythings unpacked and gas and water are working. Went to the gym last night, about to go right now.
